There’s no mystery where Ford got the name Galaxie for this script. It was the sixties and the excitement of the Space Race was where it was at.

There may be heat marks from the cutting of a piece. Our mild steel is stored outdoors in the weather and it changes over time. So it’s always possible there could be mild surface rust. And if there are blemishes, marks or indentations, those are left in the steel.
