Description
If you didn’t already know, the City of Detroit was founded by Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac in 1701. The Cadillac Crest used by the car company was based upon Cadillac’s family crest. We cut this crest from mild steel a little thinner than 1/8 inch.
The picture for this cutout is for general purposes only and no two pieces will look exactly the same. If you like shiny, polished pieces, this cutout does not have a shiny, polished surface. Our steel blanks are stored outdoors in the weather and change over time. So it is not unusual for there to be some sort of distress to the metal’s surface, such as: heat marks from the cutting process, mild surface rust, other blemishes, marks, scratches or indentations. Elements that distress the metal just add to the character of the piece.
